Siúl go dtí Seasca - The annual fundraising walk that Peter Ireton and his friends do for Bóthar was completed after several months’ postponement. Pete had injured his back earlier on this year and could not undertake the walk.
In keeping with tradition, Pete and his friends walk one kilometre for each year of his life, annually. This year he is 63. The 63 Km walk, which was completed in one day, started at U.L., travelled out to Killaloe, meandered through the hills around the picturesque village and returned to the University. It took just under twelve hours and walkers returned to U.L at dusk.
